I don’t know about you, but I find that whenever I get a cold sore, I never have anything on hand to 1) alleviate the throbbing and 2) reduce the redness!
One of the best things you can do for a cold sore is to put ice or something cold onto the area as quickly as you first feel it and leave it on there for as long as you can, this will help to reduce the throbbing and if caught quickly enough, can even stop the cold sore from turning into the ugly blister! It will also help the redness.
But, if you are like me, I wake up with my cold sores, so no chance of getting any quick remedy onto it, by the time I’m awake, the blister is already there, argh!
